PHP Back-End Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Back-End Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server‑side components that power our software solutions, working closely with front‑end developers and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust back‑end modules using PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony or CodeIgniter.
• Design, implement and optimise relational database schemas in MySQL or MariaDB.
• Create, document and maintain RESTful API endpoints for front‑end consumption.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to integrate user‑facing features.
• Debug, troubleshoot and improve application performance and scalability.
• Apply security best practices and data‑protection measures.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience with PHP.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
• Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
