Pizzaiolo – Junior Sous Chef

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Pizzaiolo who will also act as a Junior Sous Chef at our new Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt. The role combines hands‑on pizza preparation with oversight of a specific culinary area, supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in delivering high‑quality dishes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee food preparation and cooking within the pizza specialty area, ensuring recipes and quality standards are met.
• Create, refine, and enhance pizza dishes and related menu items, staying current with culinary trends.
• Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on new menu development and specials.
• Supervise, guide, and train kitchen staff in the pizza station, delegating tasks and ensuring safe food‑handling practices.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, flavor, and presentation; inspect plates before service.
• Assist with kitchen organization, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory and stock control for pizza ingredients, track usage, minimize waste, and coordinate ordering with the Sous Chef.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pizza making and general kitchen operations.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Organizational skills to handle inventory and peak‑hour service.
• Passion for culinary innovation and staying updated with industry trends.
