Planning Senior Engineer

About the role

The Planning Senior Engineer will lead the planning activities for construction projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation, schedule integrity and risk visibility. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will drive the development and maintenance of master schedules and subcontractor plans.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate resources, load and level tasks across project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers to align schedules with strategic targets.
• Define subcontracting plans, set milestones and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Identify critical paths and update master baseline schedules.
• Prepare and present progress reports, highlighting risks and variances to stakeholders.
• Validate schedules across disciplines and ensure risk awareness.
• Approve, monitor and analyze subcontractor baseline and updated schedules.
• Set performance indicators for subcontractors and flag deviations.
• Conduct delay analysis and support time claim resolutions.
• Assist with project cash‑flow forecasting and invoicing processes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in project planning and scheduling within construction or engineering environments.
• Proven ability to work with project managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills for critical‑path analysis and delay assessment.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
