Principal Software Developer in Test (SDET)

About the role

Integrant, a software solutions provider for U.S. enterprises in highly regulated industries, is hiring a Principal Software Developer in Test (SDET) in Cairo. The role ensures the quality and reliability of software products by balancing manual and automated testing, bridging software development and quality assurance with strong coding and testing expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and design of systems to be implemented
• Design and review test cases and test scripts, set execution priorities and perform impact analysis
• Recommend, implement and use test management, defect management, performance and automation tools
• Log issues and track them until closure, and report project issues, schedule and performance impacts to the project manager
• Write unit tests for APIs and the business layer, enhance code testability, fix minor defects found during testing and document API endpoints
• Work with the lead on test plans and requirements, and coordinate regularly with engineers on results and defects status
• Produce comprehensive test reports and work within an agile, Scrum team

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands-on software testing experience
• Experience with UI, system/integration, API and agile testing; performance testing background is a plus
• Good knowledge of test planning, test strategy and estimation techniques
• Understanding of the Agentic Development Life Cycle and testing of AI and agentic applications
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills, good English, and adaptability to client and project changes

Required skills

• OOP and one or more languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL
• Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab; BDD tools such as Cucumber and SpecFlow
• Advanced programming: custom exceptions, LINQ, dependency injection, design patterns, data structures
• ISTQB CT-GenAI certification highly preferred
