Procurement Associate – Direct Materials & Packaging

About the role

The Procurement Associate will manage the end‑to‑end direct procurement cycle for raw materials, packaging and production inputs in an FMCG manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will ensure timely supply while optimizing cost, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders within SLA timelines.
• Obtain, compare and validate supplier quotations, specifications, lead times and payment terms.
• Place and follow up purchase orders to guarantee on‑time delivery of raw materials and packaging.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, capacity, reliability and compliance; maintain day‑to‑day communication.
• Update the approved supplier list and master data in Oracle ERP.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policy, delegation of authority and SOPs; keep audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare regular reports on PO/PR compliance, spend analysis, KPI tracking and purchase price variance.
• Support the Procurement Manager with data compilation for management reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, engineering or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of direct procurement experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or related sectors.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong understanding of raw‑material and packaging sourcing for food/FMCG production.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
