Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our construction team. In this role you will drive sourcing, procurement and supply‑chain activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Evaluate, select and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process from requisition through delivery, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to define material and service requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain strong relationships and ensure reliability.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and industry trends.
• Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and report on procurement metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and relevant regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
