Procurement Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join its Global Supply Chain team. In this role you will support supplier excellence, business continuity and procurement strategy for the Engineering‑to‑Order organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and act as the main point of contact for an assigned portfolio.
• Collaborate with Category Managers to implement procurement strategies and annual operational plans.
• Drive supplier development initiatives to improve competitiveness, quality and continuity.
• Negotiate framework agreements and support cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify improvement opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure supplier readiness for key customer projects.
• Contribute to productivity initiatives and continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or a related field.
• Procurement or supply‑chain certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI tools and digital technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
