Procurement Team Leader (Electrical)

About the role

The Electrical Procurement Team Leader is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end procurement cycle of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. This role ensures that all electrical supplies are sourced cost‑effectively, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the electrical procurement team, allocating daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Review project specifications with engineering and planning teams to define material requirements.
• Develop procurement strategies and material plans aligned with project timelines.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial offers, negotiate terms, and select vendors.
• Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system (e.g., SAP) and track deliveries to sites.
• Maintain a reliable vendor database, conduct supplier assessments, and nurture strong supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and finance to manage delivery, invoicing, and payments.
• Support contract review and negotiation for key material and subcontract procurement.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and drive value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.
• Proven experience managing procurement for large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, subcontracting, and procurement processes.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, PMP, or other supply‑chain qualifications are a plus.
