Production Engineer – Graduate Development Program

About the role

Join Elsewedy Electric’s Graduate Development Program as a Production Engineer. This entry‑level position is designed for recent graduates (0‑2 years of experience) and offers rotations, mentorship, and training to develop expertise in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HSE compliance and a safe working environment at all times.
• Implement 5S and Lean initiatives to improve workplace efficiency.
• Ensure 24/7 production discipline across three shifts, meeting quality, delivery, and budget targets.
• Coordinate monthly output plans with the planning department to maximize operating efficiency.
• Execute production plans according to standard operating procedures for each process.
• Evaluate and optimise workflows, material usage, and machine setups to increase output and reduce downtime.
• Review weekly machine loading plans and approved production designs.
• Drive continuous improvement of manpower, machine, and material resources.
• Diagnose breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement processes for new products, materials, and technologies.
• Supervise direct reports to ensure proper execution of production tasks.

Required profile

• Graduate with 0‑2 years of experience, eager to learn and grow.
• Ability to work across three shifts and adapt to a dynamic production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset for workflow and cost optimisation.
• Effective communication and teamwork with Engineering, Quality, Design, and Planning departments.
