Project Lead / Technical Lead – Safety-Critical Embedded Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Project Lead / Technical Lead to drive the development of safety‑critical embedded products, covering both software and hardware. The role requires coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring compliance with functional safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of embedded software and hardware projects following the V‑model lifecycle.
• Manage cross‑functional teams including software, hardware, testing, safety, quality and system engineering.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61508 and/or ISO 26262, and oversee safety planning, hazard analysis, verification and validation activities.
• Drive project planning, task estimation, risk management, issue resolution and milestone delivery.
• Maintain documentation, configuration and change management, and support technical and safety reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Strong experience in embedded systems product development and familiarity with both software and hardware lifecycles.
• Practical knowledge of the V‑model and functional safety standards IEC 61508 / ISO 26262.
• Proven project management skills including planning, scheduling, risk and issue tracking.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Embedded C/C++ development, RTOS, microcontrollers, communication protocols, diagnostics and low‑level drivers.
• Hardware design, schematics and PCB review, component selection and reliability analysis.
• Functional safety work products (safety plan, HARA, FMEA, safety case).
• Standards such as MISRA C, ASPICE, ISO 21434, IEC 62443.
• Tools for requirements management, version control, static analysis and testing.
