QC Engineer

About the role

The QC Engineer will ensure the quality of software products throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with development and project teams to create, execute, and maintain test artifacts, and to provide clear visibility on testing progress and software quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and project documents, provide feedback, time estimates, and identify risk areas.
• Create QA test artifacts such as test matrices, scenarios, cases, and results.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across API, mobile, and web applications.
• Investigate and log issues found during testing or reported from production, and escalate as needed.
• Ensure adherence to testing processes and suggest improvements.
• Provide status visibility to development and project teams regarding testing progress and quality.
• Participate in release planning and delivery activities.
• Monitor test, production, and trial systems for errors.
• Set up and maintain test environments.
• Produce performance comparison reports and establish benchmarks.
• Prepare deployment guides, trial guides, and release notes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine system needs and requirements.
• Conduct technical and business analyses and assess software compatibility.

Required profile

• College or university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least one testing certification.
• Proven experience in test strategy development, planning, test case design, defect management, and test automation.
• Experience with API, mobile app, and web application testing.
• Knowledge of data integration concepts and change data capture.
• Familiarity with Unix commands/scripting and SQL.
• Experience with source control management and CI/CD environments.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
