Radiology Registrar

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Radiology Registrar to join our hospital team, providing comprehensive patient care and supporting senior consultants in a fast‑paced radiology department.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to the hospital's official working hours and attendance schedule.
• Follow the departmental physicians' roster, perform proper handover and takeover of admitted patients according to hospital policy, and notify the chief resident or unit director of any absences or delays.
• Assess all newly admitted patients immediately, document medical history and clinical examination, order required laboratory and imaging studies, and prescribe initial treatment following approved clinical protocols.
• Ensure the attending consultant reviews each newly admitted patient within six hours (or four hours after initial communication); if the consultant cannot be reached, escalate to the next on‑call consultant.
• Accompany the consultant during patient rounds and accurately record findings, recommendations, and instructions in the medical record.
• Conduct daily patient rounds at least twice, documenting clinical progress during each round.
• Prescribe required medications, review medication orders daily, and ensure nursing staff administers them as scheduled.
• Request consultations from other specialties as needed and follow up to confirm completion.
• Complete all required documentation, including admission forms, physician orders, daily progress notes, investigation requests, and final discharge summaries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS or equivalent).
• Master's degree in radiology or the relevant specialty.
• Valid medical license to practice.
