Resource Manager – Senior Associate, Advisory

About the role

PwC is hiring a Resource Manager (Senior Associate) in its Advisory line of service, specialising in technology. The role manages a team that works with key stakeholders and onshore resourcing teams to forecast resource needs, identify skill gaps and deploy the right people to the right projects at the right time. It acts as a link between project teams and business operations, analysing workforce trends and overseeing resource planning tools.

Key responsibilities

• Resource planning: lead reporting on workforce trends, run operational processes to ensure accurate resourcing data, analyse key metrics and propose data-driven improvements.
• Budget and billing: report on resource allocation, utilization and operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder communication: build strong relationships with colleagues across the UK and advise senior management on workforce strategy.
• Risk management: identify issues that could affect delivery early and use appropriate escalation protocols.
• Data and process improvement: produce regular Management Information, run data integrity checks and cleansing in the workforce planning system, maintain headcount budget and forecast data, and use existing and emerging technologies to process resourcing data.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in workforce planning, resourcing, recruitment or project management in a professional environment.
• Experience of line management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, able to handle a heavy workload under pressure.
• Comfortable and confident with systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Planning and scheduling skills, attention to detail, and resilience to changing workloads.
