Restaurant & Cafe Group Leader - IKEA Mall of Arabia

About the role

Al-Futtaim is recruiting a Commercial Restaurant Manager (Restaurant & Cafe Group Leader) for IKEA at Mall of Arabia in Cairo. The role oversees restaurant sales, guest areas and dishwashing facilities, working closely with team leaders to deliver food offers that appeal to store visitors and to drive business growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Customers: welcome guests, lead by example as an IKEA ambassador, gather feedback and empower the team to act on guest needs
• Commercial: develop an IKEA Food action plan, run the range matrix with the Kitchen Production Manager, collaborate with Com&In and Local Marketing, promote top sellers and strengthen the low-price, quality and sustainability perception
• People: recruit, train, coach and develop successors, promote IKEA culture and diversity, and keep internal communication clear
• Steering the business: use reporting tools to build strategies, challenge costs through lean practices and follow ASR rules and guidelines
• Operations: follow IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements, implement the HACCP plan, report food incidents via CASY, manage waste, plan staff and keep displays fresh

Required profile

• Experience in a vibrant retail environment and commercial marketing
• Team management and development skills, preferably in food service or hospitality
• Ability to create and execute action plans and set budgets
• Knowledge of the IKEA Concept and values with English communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office tools
• Familiarity with marketing and activity planning in a retail setting
• Decision-making, planning, prioritisation and strong communication skills
• Understanding of KPIs
