Rockstar Fullstack Developer

About the role

Join a small, fully remote engineering team at a fast‑growing social impact startup. You will work on core product enhancements, building complex workflows and supporting the AWS infrastructure that powers our learning platform for underserved talent in MENA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality code for both front‑end and back‑end components of our Next.js/Node.js application.
• Collaborate with product, sales and training teams to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests to ensure reliability and performance.
• Assist in scaling and managing AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway and S3.

Required profile

• Experience working effectively in remote, asynchronous teams across time zones.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to a changing roadmap in an early‑stage startup.
• Strong execution mindset: reliable, self‑directed and comfortable using tools like Jira.
• Passion for Manara’s mission to unlock tech talent in MENA, especially for women and Palestinian candidates.

Required skills

• Proficiency with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience building front‑end applications with Next.js (nice‑to‑have).
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3) (nice‑to‑have).
• Knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL (nice‑to‑have).
