Safety Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across a leading restaurant chain in Egypt. The role involves ensuring compliance with local regulations, fostering a strong safety culture and protecting employees and customers in all operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures for restaurants, production facilities and corporate offices.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments across all locations.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses and drive corrective actions.
• Design and deliver safety training and awareness programmes for staff and management.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety and evacuation planning.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in Food & Beverage, Hospitality or multi‑site operations.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
