Secondary Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Secondary Design Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution engineering team. The role focuses on the design of 66 kV substations, working under senior engineers and delivering detailed secondary design documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret contract documents and develop preliminary single line diagrams (SLD), interlock principles, DC and AC system layouts.
• Perform base design calculations including DC and AC packages, CT and VT verification.
• Create detailed design drawings and bills of material for control and protection panels.
• Prepare LV control cable BOQs, attend Factory Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings, follow up on supplier activities, and support coding tasks.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Power or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience in control and protection secondary design for high‑voltage substations.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using AutoCAD (preferred).
• Familiarity with panel engineering software (preferred).
