Secondary History Teacher (August 2026)

About the role

Scholars International Language School is looking for a dynamic and passionate Secondary History Teacher for the 2026/27 academic year. The teacher will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of history, critical thinking skills and a lifelong interest in the subject, while creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, collaboration and creativity.
• Build strong communication and relationships with parents and guardians to support student success.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to improve curriculum delivery and share best practices.
• Take part in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with teaching trends.

Required profile

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Ability to assess student progress and adapt teaching to individual learning needs.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that promotes critical thinking and active learning.
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
