Section Lead Engineer – High-Speed Rail Project

About the role

We are looking for a Section Lead Engineer to drive the delivery of Package 1 on Egypt’s high‑speed rail project. Reporting to the Delivery Director, you will coordinate rail alignment, stations, service points and depots across a 2,000 km corridor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor progress of Package 1 activities, ensuring milestones are met.
• Maintain communication with NAT, GARB, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Control configuration by verifying that all site teams use the latest approved drawings.
• Produce weekly progress reports with photographic evidence.
• Coordinate site access readiness and provide accurate forecasts.
• Facilitate hand‑over to Package 2, working with Technical LOTs, Civil Joint Ventures and other contractors.
• Monitor Package 2 interface activities, including signaling & communications and Siemens subsystems, to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in railway station installation and delivery of complex mobility projects.
• Willingness to travel and work across multiple project sites in Egypt.
• Pro‑active, health‑and‑safety focused, independent with a self‑starter attitude.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
