Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for our Egypt operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare financial statements in line with US GAAP and Egyptian accounting standards.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Payroll accounting.
• Manage the annual statutory audit, coordinate with external auditors, and drive timely resolution of audit findings.
• Direct all tax matters – corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax and stamp duty – including filings, payments and tax audits.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian laws, maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and support corporate governance initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements, support ERP upgrades and strengthen internal control environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or ESA preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Proven experience managing external and tax audits.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Egyptian accounting regulations.
