Senior AI Product Engineer (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Product Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of AI‑powered products for a major government transformation initiative in Abu Dhabi. You will design retrieval pipelines, agent‑based workflows, backend services, and user interfaces that power intelligent public‑service applications, ensuring they operate securely, reliably, and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own AI product features from concept through production, including design, implementation, and monitoring.
• Build and optimise Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, handling data ingestion, embeddings, vector search and reranking.
• Develop agent‑based workflows with tool use, planning and multi‑step reasoning.
• Create reusable AI components and integration libraries for multiple products.
• Implement full‑stack solutions: React/Next.js front‑ends with streaming responses and Python, Java/Kotlin or Node.js back‑end APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, DocumentDB, Azure Blob Storage and vector databases such as pgvector or Qdrant.
• Instrument AI systems using Langfuse and Grafana for tracing and observability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping end‑to‑end product features across AI, backend and frontend layers.
• Strong product judgment and ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Experience delivering production‑grade AI applications in high‑trust environments.
