Senior Art Director

About the role

Dentsu is looking for a Senior Art Director in Cairo with a strong branding background, who leads the immediate design team and turns brand strategy into distinctive, scalable visual identities. The role covers brand identity and visual systems for some of the region's most visible brands, plus integrated campaign work across digital, social, OOH and brand communications. It suits someone who interprets brand challenges proactively and uses AI tools to speed up their creative process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead brand identities and visual systems across digital, print, packaging, spatial, social and brand communications, including logos, typography, colour, iconography, patterns and illustration styles
• Build brand guidelines and presentation-ready moodboards, and ensure consistency across all touchpoints
• Concept and develop integrated campaigns (film, OOH, social, digital, experiential) and present them to leadership and clients
• Mentor junior Art Directors and designers, and work closely with copywriters and strategists
• Contribute to pitches and new business presentations under deadline pressure
• Use AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Magnific, Gemini) to generate visual directions, write image prompts and build presentations, and use LLMs to stress-test campaign ideas
• Deliver fast turnarounds for social and performance content, localise work for English and Arabic markets, and maintain quality across several briefs

Required profile

• 7+ years as an Art Director in an agency setting
• Portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking across campaign formats
• Proven experience art directing brand films, photo shoots and content productions
• Understanding of the GCC / Saudi market
• Curious about AI and able to integrate emerging tools into the creative process
