Senior Art Director

About the role

Dentsu is looking for a Senior Art Director in Cairo to lead its immediate design team and shape creative work with a strong branding background. The role leads brand identities, visual systems and strategic creative directions for some of the region's most visible brands, while supporting integrated campaigns across digital, social, OOH and brand communications. It suits someone who interprets brand challenges proactively and uses AI tools to speed up their creative process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead brand identities and visual systems across digital, print, packaging, spatial, social and brand communications, including logos, typography, colour, iconography and illustration styles
• Build brand guidelines and scalable identity systems, and present moodboards and identity directions
• Concept and develop integrated campaigns (film, OOH, social, digital, experiential) and defend creative work to leadership and clients
• Mentor and direct junior Art Directors and designers, and work closely with copywriters and strategists
• Contribute to pitches and new business presentations under deadline pressure
• Use AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Magnific, Gemini) to generate visual directions, write image prompts and build presentation-quality moodboards, and integrate AI imagery judiciously
• Deliver fast turnarounds for social and performance content, localise work for English and Arabic markets, and maintain quality across several briefs

Required profile

• 7+ years as an Art Director in an agency setting
• Portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking across campaign formats
• Proven experience art directing brand films, photo shoots and content productions
• Understanding of the GCC / Saudi market
• Curious about AI and able to integrate emerging tools into the creative process
