Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in backend development to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions. You will work with cross‑functional teams to create cloud‑native applications and ensure reliable production services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Develop secure, high‑performing systems for AWS cloud environments.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Design and optimise data models in relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Ensure scalability, performance, maintainability, and reliability of services.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and apply best practices in security and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
