Senior Civil Draughtsman (DraftsMan)

About the role

The Senior Civil Draughtsman will be responsible for producing and updating civil engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, the role ensures that all documentation meets client, project and code requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise civil engineering drawings, shop drawings, as‑built drawings and detailed construction drawings.
• Develop drawings based on engineers' calculations, specifications and project requirements.
• Review drawings before submission to minimise errors and ensure quality.
• Maintain drawing registers and document‑control procedures.
• Assist engineers with quantity take‑offs when required.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide drafting support.
• Supervise and mentor junior draughtsmen.
• Update drawings to reflect site changes and prepare as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical teams to resolve drawing conflicts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience as a Civil Draughtsman, preferably on construction, infrastructure or mega‑projects.
• Experience with major contractors or engineering consultants.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings, standards and construction methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM workflows.
• Mandatory knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
