Senior Civil Engineer – EPC Design Review

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the review and audit of EPC contractor civil designs for our solar PV and large‑scale infrastructure projects in Heliopolis, Cairo. The role involves ensuring design compliance, supporting quality assurance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit civil designs including earthworks, foundations, cable routes, access roads, drainage systems and site infrastructure.
• Evaluate geotechnical reports and foundation design approaches for shallow and pile foundations.
• Conduct structural reviews of mounting structures, substation buildings, control rooms and security fencing.
• Assess civil specifications, material schedules and construction method statements for compliance.
• Prepare engineering comments, technical reports and documentation.
• Provide guidance to onsite Civil QA/QC Inspector on complex inspection and quality matters.
• Analyze contractor deviations, material substitutions and proposed construction methods.
• Coordinate civil‑architectural interface with the Architectural Engineer.
• Review as‑built drawings against approved designs and specifications.
• Support the Engineering Manager with technical responses on contractual matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 12 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in solar PV or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering, foundation design, structural analysis and civil construction practices.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, BS and Eurocodes.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation and analytical abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
