Senior Civil Site Engineer – New Capital, Cairo

About the role

The Senior Civil Site Engineer will support the Civil Team Leader in overseeing daily civil works at the New Capital project in Cairo. This role ensures that construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards while coordinating closely with subcontractors and other site disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily civil activities and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor work progress, and report any deviations to the Civil Team Leader.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely execution and resolve minor on‑site issues.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, quantity tracking, and documentation logs.
• Assist in preparing and submitting inspection requests, material requests, and shop‑drawing comments.
• Check material deliveries for compliance, report shortages or damages, and coordinate with MEP and architectural teams to resolve basic site conflicts.
• Enforce site safety rules and promptly report unsafe practices.
• Support the management of snag lists, follow up on rectifications, and help prepare as‑built drawings and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience as a Civil Site Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and techniques, with a focus on structural and civil works.
• Proficiency with project management and construction management software.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations and construction practices.
