Senior Customer Project Technical Engineer

About the role

AIS is looking for a Customer Project Technical Engineer to join its Electrical Distribution Department. The engineer manages customer project orders from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with customer requirements and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Study and analyse customer specifications and project requirements, and review and validate technical offers.
• Lead the design process by coordinating with factories, project managers and customer representatives, and verify and validate factory submittals.
• Prepare, review and validate technical documentation such as single line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, cable entry drawings, civil instructions, schematic and logic diagrams, ITPs, FAT procedures, commissioning spare parts lists, painting and packing specifications.
• Perform calculations and documentation to ensure design compliance, and attend and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Take part in technical meetings throughout the project lifecycle, provide site technical support, and ensure deliverables meet customer and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution, project engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, and good teamwork and adaptability.

Required skills

• Experience with electrical distribution packages such as HV, MV and LV switchgears, UPS, transformers, variable speed drives and soft starters.
• Understanding of MV/LV switchgear design, control circuits, protection schemes and interlocking.
• Familiarity with IEC standards for switchgear, transformers, protection, testing and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with technical submittals, bills of materials, wiring diagrams and test procedures.
