Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Advansys is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of the platform's software lifecycle, covering source code, build processes and deployment infrastructure. The role also involves maintaining forked open-source components, building tooling and supporting Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve forked open-source components, integrating upstream changes while keeping the platform stable.
• Develop, improve and maintain build tooling on Linux and Windows.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to replace manual build and validation steps.
• Maintain and extend interoperability test suites across encryption and security components.
• Support and improve Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments, including Helm charts, container images and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex integration, build and deployment issues with engineering teams and keep technical documentation up to date.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience.
• Strong software engineering background with C/C++ and complex build systems.
• Git experience, including maintaining long-lived forks and integrating changes from upstream projects.
• Comfortable working on Linux and Windows.
• Independent problem-solving across multiple layers of a technical system.

Required skills

• Kubernetes/OpenShift and Helm-based deployments.
• Preferred: large-scale open-source projects, Rust, encryption/security infrastructure background, and automated testing framework design.
