Senior Environment, Health & Safety Manager – Construction

About the role

We are seeking a senior Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead HSE performance on a major construction project on Egypt’s North Coast. The role demands strong leadership, deep knowledge of construction safety standards, and the ability to work closely with PMC or consultant teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all HSE activities on site.
• Conduct client safety audits and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Review contractor safety procedures, ITPs, and site documentation to ensure compliance.
• Ensure daily site operations follow approved HSE procedures.
• Monitor contractor safety staff and laborers; issue non‑compliance reports as needed.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with other HSE managers.
• Support project close‑out and prepare safety reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 14 years of experience in HSE management, preferably on large construction projects.
• NVQ Level 6 or higher in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and construction safety practices.
• Excellent English communication skills (mandatory).

Required skills

• NEBOSH IGC certification.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
• NVQ Level 6 Diploma (or above) in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
• Certified Safety Professional designation.
