Senior Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will oversee daily personnel operations and manage end‑to‑end payroll for a fast‑moving retail environment. This role demands strong knowledge of retail labor dynamics, commission structures, and compliance with local labor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding paperwork, including forms, criminal records, medical checks, and certificates, ensuring full compliance before store deployment.
• Track, renew, and terminate employee contracts for head‑office and retail staff such as cashiers, sales associates, and store managers.
• Serve as primary contact for social insurance and labor office inspections, keeping employee files audit‑ready.
• Monitor daily attendance, multi‑shift rosters, overtime, and leaves across all retail branches.
• Handle off‑boarding processes, including final settlements and exit documentation.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll for retail and head‑office staff, integrating commissions, incentives, shift allowances, and penalties.
• Calculate and remit social insurance, income tax, and medical insurance deductions accurately.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies directly with store managers and employees, ensuring transparency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Personnel & Payroll Specialist, with at least 2 years in the retail sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; HR diploma or payroll certification is a plus.
• Deep understanding of local labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax structures.
• High confidentiality, strong numerical accuracy, and ability to work under payroll‑cycle pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Hands‑on experience with HRIS/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or other retail‑specific HR software.
