Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to strengthen the backend of one of the region’s leading e‑commerce platforms. You will build fast, reliable and scalable services that power payment integrations, checkout optimisation and the overall customer journey.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop system integrations, data models and perform performance tuning.
• Collaborate with product managers and QA teams to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to system architecture, write technical design documents and unit tests.
• Stay current with emerging backend trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional backend development experience with Java.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Hibernate and building RESTful services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and caching strategies.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines and Agile development.
