Senior Payroll & Personnel Specialist – Retail

About the role

The Senior Payroll & Personnel Specialist will lead payroll processing and personnel administration for a retail operation. You will ensure accurate salary calculations, compliance with Egyptian labor regulations, and provide support to employees throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions and final settlements.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and generate payroll reports for management and Finance.
• Manage employee attendance, leave balances and related documentation.
• Handle hiring paperwork, contracts, renewals, terminations and keep employee files up‑to‑date in the HRIS.
• Register, amend and terminate social insurance accounts and calculate income tax in line with local regulations.
• Coordinate medical insurance enrollment and other employee benefits.
• Respond to employee inquiries on payroll, attendance and personnel matters.
• Support HR audits, produce required reports and collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll data.
• Participate in HR projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in payroll and personnel administration.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Labor Law, Social Insurance and Income Tax regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and detail‑orientation skills.
