Senior PL/SQL & Java Technical Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL & Java Technical Consultant to join Mobily’s technical consulting team in Egypt. The role focuses on designing, developing and supporting high‑performance backend solutions that connect external source systems with Oracle Cloud ERP and our custom in‑house applications.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimise complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers and analytical views for large‑scale batch data transformations.
• Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, index optimisation and query execution‑plan analysis to ensure fast data processing.
• Develop and maintain custom accounting engines, staging reconciliation logic and error‑handling frameworks for pre‑ERP data ingestion.
• Create internal admin utilities, staging views and user interfaces using Oracle APEX.
• Support technical data‑pipeline requirements for the custom in‑house system, including Java‑based middleware and RESTful adapters.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on development experience with a strong emphasis on Oracle PL/SQL and backend data processing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with IFRS 15/ASC 606 data feeds or revenue‑recognition processes is a plus.

Required skills

• Oracle PL/SQL (Collections, Bulk Collect/FORALL, Ref Cursors, Pipeline functions, Dynamic SQL, Autonomous Transactions).
• SQL performance tuning, query optimisation and index management.
• Core Java (Java 8+), JDBC, connection pooling and RESTful API integration.
• Oracle APEX development for administrative portals.
• Fusion Cloud file‑based integration (FBDI, ESS jobs, UCM) and native REST APIs.
