Senior Procurement Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Electrical Engineer to lead the sourcing of electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for our projects. The role combines technical evaluation, vendor management, and cost control to ensure timely delivery that meets project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for electrical materials and equipment.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Prepare RFQs, analyse quotations and conduct technical & commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and contracts with suppliers.
• Coordinate with engineering, projects and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines.
• Maintain cost efficiency and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a strong supplier database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement of electrical materials.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, panels, cables, lighting, transformers, etc.
• Experience in technical and commercial bid evaluation.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of contracts and procurement procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
