Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to lead end‑to‑end purchasing of medical equipment, healthcare supplies, consumables and operational services for our operations in Egypt and the United Kingdom. The role will ensure that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost‑effectively and in line with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for medical and operational items across Egypt and the UK, from sourcing to contract award.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and high‑quality products.
• Prepare purchase orders, supplier agreements and all required procurement documentation.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance and service levels.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, logistics and clinical teams to capture procurement needs and timelines.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels to guarantee uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct market analysis to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and alternative sources.
• Support budgeting and cost‑control initiatives by tracking expenses and reporting savings.
• Resolve procurement issues such as delayed deliveries, quality concerns and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and provide documentation for audits when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Healthcare Management or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain operations, preferably within healthcare, medical equipment or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Demonstrated experience managing procurement across multiple regions, especially Egypt and the UK.
• Experience dealing with local and international suppliers, freight forwarders and customs processes.
• Professional procurement certification is an advantage.
