Senior Strategic & Commercial Analyst

About the role

Dubizzle Egypt is the leading online marketplace for buying and selling in the region, part of the Dubizzle Group of eight brands with more than 160 million monthly users. This full-time Senior Strategic & Commercial Analyst role sits within the sales function and covers the automotive vertical, including its P&L.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse competitive business models and recommend ways to strengthen the company's position.
• Work with product, engineering, operations, finance and marketing teams to build data-informed business strategies and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product managers to improve product offerings and test pricing and new products.
• Manage self-service tools so employees can explore data with little assistance.
• Monitor platform traffic, identify gaps and propose solutions.
• Present models, findings and insights to senior management to drive business decisions.
• Advise on business strategy, monetisation and operations, and partner with finance on budgets, forecasts and ad hoc analyses.
• Own the P&L of the automotive vertical and manage all launched propositions and products, including pre- and post-assessment.
• Own and develop pricing schemes for online and offline products and packages.
• Build and maintain relationships with business partners to optimise integration.
• Develop and present management reviews to top management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Marketing; a master's degree is a plus.
• 4-5 years of experience in strategy/business analytics or sales-enabler roles, working closely with products in an internet or e-commerce company.
• Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media.
• Proactive, independent and hands-on, with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).
• Google Analytics experience is required.
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
