Customer Service Associate - Marks & Spencer

About the role

The Customer Service Associate at Marks & Spencer in Cairo Festival City plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to customers. The associate maintains store standards, manages inventory and assists with sales, handles customer inquiries and complaints, keeps the store well-stocked and visually appealing, and operates the cash register according to company policy. The role supports the Duty Manager and works with the store team to achieve sales and service goals.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs
• Address basic customer complaints and escalate issues as needed
• Keep the store organized and in line with visual merchandising standards, and regularly clean and maintain the sales floor
• Help receive new shipments, restock the store and manage inventory so it stays fully stocked
• Recommend products to customers, focusing on upselling and cross-selling, and stay up to date on product information
• Operate the cash register, process transactions and follow payment-handling policies, keeping the checkout area clean and organized

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles focused on excellent service
• Ability to maintain high store standards in terms of product organization and cleanliness
• Experience recommending products and engaging in upselling and cross-selling
• Experience operating cash registers and handling cash
• Ability to work well within a team to achieve store goals
