Senior Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Specialist

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY S.A.E. is looking for a Senior Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Specialist in New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. The role coordinates and executes all aspects of shipping and receiving at the Hitachi warehouse, ensuring efficient material flow, accurate inventory management and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, inspecting, counting, storing and loading materials.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders, invoices and packing lists.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs forms and shipping labels.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, data entry and cycle counting.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages or quality issues with materials.
• Assist in organizing and optimizing the warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Train and mentor junior staff on procedures and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, and take part in inventory audits and process improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in logistics, supply chain or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role with senior-level responsibilities.
• Proven experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment; valid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
