SIG Installation Design Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time SIG Installation Design Engineer to join its Cairo team. You will support Mainline and Urban signaling installation engineering activities, working closely with project managers, site managers and installation supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute installation engineering deliverables (drawings, documentation, specifications, work method statements) for bids and projects.
• Review civil interface drawings and define signaling equipment space and cable trunking requirements.
• Develop installation material specifications and Bills of Quantities.
• Create as‑built documentation and support field quality dossiers for handover.
• Conduct site surveys during preparation and execution phases.
• Collaborate with BIM coordinators and modelers on IE studies and deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and update the Reference Library.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical or a related engineering field.
• 0–2 years of experience in design, drafting or engineering (project or construction experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, EHS policies and professional standards.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit MEP and Navisworks.
