Site Testing & Commissioning Manager

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Site Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Manager to lead on‑site testing activities for a high‑speed rail project in Egypt. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and on‑schedule commissioning of the entire railway line, working with multidisciplinary teams across rolling stock, signalling, telecom, power supply, track and overhead catenary systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on‑site T&C activities across the full railway line.
• Coordinate site readiness, access, possessions and resource allocation.
• Implement the approved Line T&C plan and align it with project milestones.
• Work closely with subsystem teams to ensure readiness for integrated testing.
• Manage interfaces between System Integration, Construction, Engineering and Commissioning teams.
• Oversee subsystem commissioning, System Integration Testing (SIT), dynamic testing and trial runs.
• Ensure availability of testing procedures, rolling stock, equipment and qualified personnel.
• Coordinate with Temporary Operations on train movements, Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) and safe test execution.
• Maintain full HSE compliance, monitor progress, prepare reports, manage punch lists and escalate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning for railway or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing on‑site commissioning across multiple railway subsystems.
• Strong knowledge of railway systems integration and subsystem interfaces.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
