Social Media Specialist

About the role

Maqam, a Cairo‑based designer of handcrafted furniture and lighting, is seeking a Social Media Specialist to bring its heritage‑rich stories to life across digital platforms. The role blends content creation, community engagement, and performance analysis to strengthen the brand’s premium identity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar.
• Create and publish engaging posts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and other relevant channels.
• Write compelling, storytelling‑driven captions in English and Arabic.
• Coordinate photography, short‑form video and behind‑the‑scenes production with creative teams.
• Monitor social media trends and adapt them to Maqam’s brand voice.
• Engage with the online community, fostering authentic audience growth.
• Collaborate with marketing, design and production on campaigns, product launches, exhibitions and events.
• Track performance metrics, analyse insights and recommend optimisation strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest.
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to plan content calendars and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating creative shoots with photographers, videographers and designers.
• Passion for furniture, interior design, architecture or design‑led lifestyle brands.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field is preferred.
