About the role

Orange Business is seeking a Software Engineer to join the OINIS team and develop solutions for Software‑Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV). You will work closely with Solution Architects and customers to translate requirements into robust, production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements and design suitable software architectures.
Develop, test and document solutions using open‑source or commercial frameworks.
Participate in regular progress reviews with customers to track development and resolve issues.
Collaborate with architects and developers to build, test and support solutions in production environments.
Produce technical documentation and user manuals for customers.
Contribute code, ideas and lessons learned to the open‑source SDN/NFV community.

Required profile

BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Communication Engineering.
3‑6 years of professional software development experience.
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and micro‑services architecture.
Passion for clean code, unit testing and continuous delivery.

Required skills

Programming languages: C, C++, Python, Go.
APIs and data formats: XML, JSON, YAML, REST, Swagger, OpenAPI, gRPC, Protobuf.
Version control and build tools: Git, Gerrit, Maven, Make, GitLab.
Databases: SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis.
Linux OS and shell scripting.
Virtualisation: KVM, VMware, OpenStack (preferred).
Containers: LXC, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm (preferred).
CI/CD & DevOps: Ansible, GitLab CI, Jenkins (preferred).
Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence (preferred).
Automated testing frameworks: Selenium, Robot Framework, Pytest, JUnit, Mockito.
