Software Quality Engineer – Manual & Automated Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Cairo. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications through both manual and automated testing, while leveraging emerging AI/ML techniques to enhance test efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute manual and automated test cases based on requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain UI and API test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Perform API testing with Postman or similar tools and conduct performance testing using JMeter, Gatling or LoadRunner.
• Apply AI/ML‑based methods like test‑case generation, impact analysis, intelligent prioritisation and self‑healing scripts.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and business analysts in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Enforce shift‑left testing practices, contribute to test‑strategy planning and track defect trends.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and techniques to improve test coverage and cycle time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 0‑1 years of experience in quality control with exposure to manual, automation, API and performance testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Required skills
