Sourcing Lead – Fresh Produce & Export

About the role

As the Sourcing Lead for Agriculture & Export, you will ensure a reliable, cost‑effective, year‑round supply of high‑quality fresh produce for Breadfast’s domestic B2B and export operations. You will build strategic partnerships with contract farmers and third‑party suppliers, manage performance, and mitigate supply risks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, contract, and maintain a network of vetted growers across key Egyptian regions.
• Negotiate seasonal supply contracts, defining volume, grade, pricing, and delivery windows.
• Execute spot procurement when contract volumes fall short, maintaining a backup supplier list.
• Track harvest progress, forecast volumes, and report availability to the Planning & Operations team.
• Flag early supply risks such as weather events, contract breaches, pest outbreaks, or price spikes.
• Monitor commodity pricing benchmarks (local and global) and produce monthly market intelligence reports.
• Support global certification efforts with the Agriculture Senior Manager.
• Coordinate inbound logistics from farm gate to warehouse, ensuring quality checks at receipt.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in fresh produce procurement, contract farming management, or commodity trading, preferably with an Egyptian exporter.
• Strong network of farmers in Delta, Nubaria, Fayoum, and Wadi El Natroun.
• Deep understanding of seasonal price dynamics and commodity risk in Egyptian fresh produce markets.
• Fluent Arabic and proficient English for export‑grade specification writing.
