Strategic Sourcing Expert

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Expert to manage supplier data, drive integration initiatives, and ensure optimal material flow within its manufacturing operations. You will act as a key liaison between the supply chain, production, and external partners to support sustainable and connected mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate supplier and article master data while supporting integration initiatives such as localization, consignment, and logistics agreements.
• Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) results, process supplier orders, track deliveries, identify bottlenecks, and escalate shortage risks.
• Ensure optimal raw‑material stock levels, proactively reducing excess inventory and obsolete stock.
• Coordinate ordering and timely delivery of new components to support technical changes.
• Develop and sustain regular contact with suppliers, conduct performance reviews, and foster strong business relationships.
• Support stock‑take and cycle‑count processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Identify and communicate supply‑chain risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English communication and reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, data analysis, tracking tools).
• Strong understanding of MRP logic and inventory control.
• SAP experience is highly preferred (nice‑to‑have).
