Supplier Ethics & Social Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Supplier Ethics & Social Compliance Specialist will lead Nile Sugar’s efforts to ensure that farm suppliers meet the highest standards of ethical conduct and social responsibility. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to embed the Supplier Code of Conduct across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the supplier ethics and social compliance programme.
• Conduct on‑site assessments, audits and inspections of farm suppliers to verify compliance with labour laws, fair‑wage policies, working‑hour limits and safety standards.
• Identify non‑compliance issues, create corrective‑action plans and monitor their execution.
• Maintain accurate records of audit findings, corrective actions and overall compliance status.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, HSE, Legal and Farm Operations to resolve compliance gaps.
• Provide training and guidance to suppliers on ethical sourcing and labour standards.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards on supplier performance, risks and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supplier evaluation, social compliance, sustainability or auditing.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
