Sustainability Social Worker

About the role

The Sustainability Social Worker will maintain a strong field presence, engaging directly with farmers, workers, schools, and local communities to advance responsible sourcing and social sustainability initiatives. This role involves on‑the‑ground monitoring, data collection, and relationship building to ensure compliance with labour standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support child‑labour monitoring, prevention, and remediation activities.
• Raise awareness of Hello ofi and grievance mechanisms within communities.
• Monitor labour compliance, including age verification procedures.
• Conduct field visits and engage key stakeholders across farming communities.
• Collect household and beneficiary data for program implementation and reporting.
• Identify and escalate social risks, worker‑welfare concerns, child‑labour cases, and non‑compliance findings.
• Foster trust and collaboration with farmers, workers, schools, and community members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in community work, rural development, child protection, NGO programming, or field‑based social sustainability.
• Experience working with rural communities, agricultural workers, schools, vulnerable households, women, seasonal or factory workers.
• Ability to handle sensitive social issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Beni Suef and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Strong observation, reporting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Practical field‑monitoring, documentation, and data‑collection skills.
• Proficiency in English for basic reporting and email communication.
