Teaching Assistant

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in its premium schools. You will work closely with class teachers to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Support class teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, child‑centred learning experiences.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
• Help create and maintain a stimulating, well‑organised, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development using supportive approaches.
• Assist in observing, recording, and sharing student progress with teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, school trips, and events.
• Assist with preparation of learning materials, classroom displays, and resources.
• Contribute to classroom routines, transitions, and day‑to‑day organisation.
• Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and child protection policies at all times.

Required profile

• Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional conduct expectations in schools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• A warm, patient, and proactive approach with high expectations for pupil behaviour and engagement.
• Flexibility, collaborative mindset, and willingness to support a range of classroom and school activities.
• Ability to support learning effectively in both group and one‑to‑one settings, including behaviour and classroom management.
