Technical Office Engineer (Plant Engineer)

About the role

Hitachi Rail GTS Egypt is looking for a Technical Office Engineer (Plant Engineer) in Cairo. The role covers low current systems design, documentation and coordination with consultants and customers, and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare low current systems design, installation and shop drawing submittals.
• Coordinate with SEM on systems requirements so that technical requirements are fulfilled.
• Study project contract documents such as tenders, BOQs and design specifications.
• Prepare as-built drawings, handover deliverables and submit them to the customer.
• Meet and coordinate with consultants and customers to ensure all low current requirements are met.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate plant engineering submittals with DC.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or telecommunications engineering; an MSc is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in low current systems.
• Previous proven experience in large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and Revit MEP are mandatory.
• Experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
